Advanced Coach the Coach (21 Core CCEs)
CTA’s Advanced Coach-the-Coach is an opportunity to participate in more of the Coach-The-Coach sessions you experienced during class. This class is designed specifically for trained coaches who would like additional practice coaching others in front of a trained instructor. Practice coaching, Receive coaching, Observe coaching and Receive verbal and written feedback, Discuss opportunities for development.
Class meets weekly for 90 minutes. Weekly classes include at least two live coaching sessions followed by discussion identifying areas of excellence and opportunities for improvement. Each participant will have the opportunity to coach at least two times during the course. Your mentor coach will provide verbal and written feedback for each live coaching session. Participants will practice using an observed coaching session feedback form to help them experience coaching from a new perspective. Participants will also have the opportunity to submit pre-recorded coaching sessions and receive written feedback from their instructor.

CTA’s Advanced Coach the Coach includes 10.5 hours of live coaching and instruction and 10.5 hours of homework and exercises related to core competencies and has been approved by ICF as 21 CCEs (Core Competencies).
Class participants are capped at six (6) or fewer participants.
Class Details
What do you do in a Coach-The-Coach class?
Session 1 (90-minutes)
Overview of materials, tools and expectations. Review the Simple Coaching Model and discuss core competencies. Identify areas for individual growth.
Sessions 2 – 7 (90-minutes)
2 Live coaching sessions. Discussion and feedback to identify opportunities to apply or demonstrate ICF Core Competencies.
Out of Class Learning- Participants listen and evaluate recorded coaching sessions using an observer evaluation form.

FAQ- More about Advanced Coach The Coach
Is this live or recorded? Live coaching sessions take place in front of trained facilitator and live audience… followed by a discussion and break down of what went well, what didn’t work well and…. identifying opportunities for improvement. Participants receive verbal and written feedback from instructors and other participants. Participants contribute their observations, insights and areas for improvement. Sessions will be recorded and available for playback throughout the course.
Class Format
7 Weeks, Class meets weekly for 90 minutes. 90 minutes of homework each week.
Each participant will have the opportunity to complete Three live coach-the-coach sessions.
Each participant will have the opportunity to receive written feedback on at least three (3) coaching sessions. PCC Candidates will receive written feedback on at least four coaching sessions.
All sessions will be recorded may also be made available to future participants as of the homework, and /or used as examples. Recordings provide additional opportunities for coaches to observe/ evaluate coaching competency and provide insights that help the student grow.
